The French ready-to-wear Maison, founded 25 years ago by Didier Parakian and recently taken over by the Thomas Family, announces its change of branding: Didier Parakian becomes Parakian Paris.
This new identity remains consistent with the DNA and with the values of the Maison, highlighting its know-how and its French elegance. Renaming the brand into Parakian Paris is the first step of a more ambitious international development strategy.
The new management team is composed of Yann Thomas, President and representant of the Thomas Family, and Giovanni Fontana Giusti, CEO and minority shareholder. Didier Parakian stays as advisor and minority shareholder.
The Parakian brand has its own universe, mainly characterized by daring elegance, a style rooted in Mediterranean atmospheres, always with a touch of modernity. Its inherent « joie de vivre » is best expressed with the use of bright colors. Each collection is designed for its “ideal woman: determined, but gentle, bold but elegant and, above all, alive.
Sergio Ciucci is still the head stylist. The Spring-Summer Collection, presented in Parakian’s showroom in rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, he chose a reminder of the perfumes and tastes of the sunny Southern lands, with atmospheres that are expressed through prints, colors, fluid shapes and lights.
